HARRISBURG - House leaders have named Rep. Russ Diamond (R-Lebanon) to four committees for the 2021-22 Legislative Session, including Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Gaming Oversight, Liquor Control, and State Government.

“I am very thankful for these assignments which allow me to continue the important work concerning issues such as election security, protecting civil liberties, freeing bars and restaurants from overbearing edicts and mandates, and eliminating burdensome regulations on our small businesses and farmers,” said Diamond.

In the previous session, Diamond had legislation successfully moved out of the State Government Committee and received a vote by the House. House Resolution 836 would have terminated Gov. Tom Wolf’s COVID-19 emergency declaration this past summer as the unemployment rate in the Commonwealth soared past 10%.

“I’m looking forward to a new year and a new legislative session where we can put our differences aside and work to protect the liberties and livelihoods of Pennsylvania families,” Diamond added.
