Diamond Appointed to Serve as Chairman of Subcommittee on Government IT and Communication

HARRISBURG - Rep. Russ Diamond (R-Lebanon) has been appointed by House Speaker Bryan Cutler (R-Lancaster) to serve as the chairman of the Subcommittee on Government Information Technology and Communication under the State Government Committee for the 2021-22 Legislative Session.

“I am very thankful for this appointment and I am pleased to have additional opportunities to help make our state government more efficient and secure,” said Diamond. “I will be working on issues relating to government computer systems, communications systems and data storage, and the security measures taken to protect them.”

The next State Government Committee meeting is Thursday, Jan. 28. The committee will be holding a hearing on the SURE System, which is Pennsylvania’s centralized voter registration and election management system.
