Lebanon Co. Farms Preserved for Future, Diamond Says

October 10, 2025

HARRISBURG – Three crop and livestock farms in Lebanon County have been accepted into the state’s farmland preservation program, ensuring they remain agricultural properties in perpetuity, according to Rep. Russ Diamond (R-Lebanon).

Diamond announced the Pennsylvania Agriculture Land Preservation Board approved conservation easements for:

   • 61 acres owned by Harold K. Eisenhauer Jr. and Dawn L. Eisenhauer in Swatara Township.
   • 74 acres owned by Kenneth L. and Carol A. Hebel in East Hanover Township.
   • 36 acres owned by Mark D. and Sandra K. Meyer in North Londonderry Township.

“These families have done a great thing by protecting their land and building on Pennsylvania’s agricultural heritage,” Diamond said. “Hardworking farmers are the ones who ensure we have food in this country, and it’s comforting to know future generations will still see farms right here in Lebanon County.”

The Lebanon County farms were among 24 properties preserved this week across Pennsylvania. Established in the late 1980s, the preservation program uses easements to prohibit commercial or residential development on prime farmland.
