January 14, 2026

HARRISBURG – More than $275,000 in grant money coming to the 102nd District will help municipalities improve their parks, according to Rep. Russ Diamond (R-Lebanon).

The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) administers the Community Conservation Partnerships Program (C2P2) grant program that announced funding this week for more than 295 projects across the state. Local awardees are:

• $100,000 for Heidelberg Township to renovate baseball fields, build a pavilion, install fencing and create a pedestrian walkway at Schaefferstown Park.
• $176,700 for Richland Borough to construct a basketball court, install fitness stations and create pedestrian walkways at the municipal park.
The 2025-26 budget adopted by the Legislature increased funding for DCNR by $13 million to address needs related to conservation, outdoor recreation, public lands and other projects.
