February 13, 2026

HARRISBURG – Grants awarded this week in Lebanon County will support fire companies and emergency medical services as they address building projects, purchase or repair equipment, conduct training, or reduce existing debt, according to Rep. Russ Diamond (R-Lebanon).

Established by the Legislature, the Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program is administered by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and Office of the State Fire Commissioner. All funding comes from the proceeds generated by slot machine gaming.

Grant awardees in the 102nd District include:

  • Bunker Hill Fire Co., $12,838.
  • Citizens Fire Co. No. 1, $16,136.
  • Fredericksburg Fire Co., $13,869.
  • Central Medical Ambulance, $15,000.
  • Keystone Hook & Ladder Co. No. 1, $15,930.
  • Kutztown Volunteer Community Fire Co., $12,838.
  • Mt. Zion Community Fire Co., $13,250.
  • Myerstown First Aid Unit, $15,000.
  • Neptune Fire Co. No. 1, $14,075.
  • Newmanstown Volunteer Fire Co., for EMS, $15,000.
  • Newmanstown Volunteer Fire Co., for fire service, $13,044.
  • North Annville Fire Co., $25,044.
  • Northern Lebanon Fire and Emergency Services Inc., $52,136.
  • Preseverance Fire Co., $12,014.
  • Schaefferstown Emergency Medical Services, $15,000.
  • Schaefferstown Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1, $13,457.
  • Union Hose Fire Co. of Annville, $28,136.

“All of us in Lebanon County are incredibly grateful for the tireless work of our first responders who answer the call 24/7. They are most often volunteers having to fundraise on top of training and responding to incidents, so hopefully these grants will ease the financial stressors a bit,” Diamond said.
