“We must do all we can to get resources to our local school districts that will keep our children safe,” said Diamond. “These grants empower our local community leaders and education officials to secure the technology, reinforcement, programs and specialized staff necessary to prevent violence and prepare our schools in emergency situations. I am pleased to see PCCD working to address school safety with the funding provided by this year’s current budget passed by the General Assembly.”

The recipient school districts and their awards are as follows:

• Northern Lebanon: $40,000.
• Lebanon: $45,000.
• Cornwall-Lebanon: $45,000.
• Eastern Lebanon: $40,000.
