During House floor debate June 27 on election code bill Senate Bill 48, Diamond made an impassioned speech in favor of the legislation. The representative touted two major initiatives of the bill. The legislation also eliminates the straight party voting option for voters and the requirement that voting systems used in the Commonwealth must offer the straight party voting option to voters.
