A Commonsense Approach to Solving the Revenue Issue

 
?The House passed a revenue bill this week to eliminate the deficit that exists in the 2017-18 budget plan. I supported a number of my colleagues in a unique effort of searching through state funds to find unused money.

The result was contained in House Bill 453, which passed by a vote of 103 to 91.

This was an easy vote for me. We are using money that has already been paid by taxpayers and not raising additional taxes, or borrowing money. We sought to put people first in the budget effort, but it is not over yet. The Senate’s turn comes now.
